Mostre, eventi e festival, nella città che non dorme mai

Metropoli nel cuore dell’Europa, Francoforte non è solo sede della Banca Centrale Europea ma è anche una città ricca di attività culturali ed eventi che mantengono viva la storia ma, allo stesso tempo, ne rappresentano la contemporaneità.
Festival, mostre, eventi sportivi e molto altro ogni anno il programma è sempre diverso, perfetto per ogni visitatore.

Le mostre del 2022

Ad esempio grazie ai suoi oltre 60 musei, che la rendono la città tedesca con il numero più alto di musei, ospita eventi culturali e mostre praticamente in ogni momento dell’anno.
Si inizia con una mostra dedicata a Auguste Renoir, “Renoir Rococo Revival” allo Städel Museum che sarà visitabile dal 2 marzo al 19 giugno 2022.
Altra cosa da segnarsi è l’apertura del MOMEM – Museum of Modern Electronic Music, pronto ad aprire i battenti, dopo due anni di slittamento della data d’apertura, ad aprile 2022.

Chiude l’anno la mostra di Marc Chagall, onirico artista che sarà in mostra da novembre 2022 a febbraio 2023 con la mostra “Marc Chagall: world in turmoil” alla Scrirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt.

Festival, fiere ed eventi

Rimanendo in tema festival dedicati agli amanti del buon cibo e del buon bere, il prossimo anno si terrà l’Apfelweinfestival che celebra la bevanda preferita degli abitanti della città: il vino di mele o Apfelwein. I visitatori hanno la possibilità di assaggiare la bevanda in tutte le sue varianti, cioè nella sua forma tradizionale, oppure rivisitata in forma di cocktail più moderni (dal 12 al 21 agosto 2022).
Il Museum Embankment Festival (Festival della Riva dei Musei) è noto per essere una delle celebrazioni culturali più grandi e spettacolari d’Europa. Organizzato alla fine agosto, il festival prevede l’apertura in notturna dei musei, il programma è ricco inoltre di musica, danza, commedia e teatro e offre intrattenimento per grandi e piccini (dal 26 al 28 agosto 2022).

La fine di agosto segna anche l’inizio della stagione del vino a Francoforte, per questo si trova proprio in periodo il Rheingau Wine Market, che coinvolge le cantine più prestigiose della regione, riunite nel cuore della città per assaggi, degustazioni e, ovviamente, piatti tipici (dal 31 agosto al 9 settembre).
Chiude l’anno, come sempre, il Christmas Market di Francoforte, un evento che accompagna i visitatori verso il Natale. Il mercatino, uno dei più antichi e grandi di tutta la Germania, illumina la città per un mese e avvolge i visitatori in un’atmosfera natalizia fatta di profumo di spezie e legno, luci colorate e piccoli regali fatti artigianalmente (dal 21 novembre al 22 dicembre).

Francoforte: come arrivare

In aereo
Francoforte è servita da due aeroporti. L’aeroporto centrale di è uno dei più trafficati in Europa, ed è collegato al centro da taxi e autobus. Il secondo aeroporto, quello di Hahn, è utilizzato per lo più da compagnie low cost e dista circa due ore dal centro.

In treno
Dall’Italia i collegamenti ferroviari per Francoforte partono principalmente da Milano con circa otto ore di viaggio. Francoforte ha tre stazioni principali, una delle quali porta direttamente all’aeroporto.

In autobus
La soluzione low cost per raggiungere Francoforte è sicuramente l’autobus. Diverse compagnie presentano ogni giorno nuove offerte e servizi con disponibilità di acquisto biglietto online.

In auto
Con circa 6 ore o poco più di viaggio dal Nord Italia, il tragitto più conveniente per arrivare a Francoforte è passare per Monaco di Baviera, Wurzburg e l’autostrada A3 in direzione Frankfurter Kreuz.

Su Francoforte
Francoforte è la città dalle mille possibilità. È una città metropolitana, dallo skyline moderno, dove la notte si festeggia, ma di giorno ci si rilassa nei parchi, dove fare shopping, ma anche scoprire una storia emozionante. Nel centro della città si trova il vecchio quartiere, il DomRömer che era stato completamente distrutto dai bombardamenti della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, ma è oggi in fase di ricostruzione grazie alle planimetrie storiche e i vecchi modelli. Altro cuore culturale della città, il quartiere dei musei che si estende intorno al nuovo Historischen Museum Frankfurt e crea una grande connessione tra la città e la sua storia. I più importanti musei della città si trovano infatti sulla riva del fiume Meno e danno un carattere unico e originale a questa zona della città. Francoforte è una città innovativa, in continua evoluzione e aperta a nuove idee e cambiamenti, ma allo stesso tempo, ha a cuore le sue tradizioni e la sua storia. La capitale del “Applwein” o vino di mele, ha mantenute intatte le proprie tradizioni gastronomiche come la famosa Grüne Sauce o Salsa Verde e l’Handkäs, un formaggio locale dal sapore pungente. Ma senza dimenticare però la cucina gourmet (Francoforte vanta 8 ristoranti stellati) e la cucina creativa di strada, che mescola prodotti locali e internazionali. Sempre grazie alla sua posizione strategica vicino alla zona di Rhein-Main, Frankfurt offre una base ideale per esplorare la regione. Intorno alla metropoli si trovano pittoresche cittadine medievali con le tradizionali case a graticcio, castelli e siti Patrimonio mondiale dell’umanità UNESCO.
