American Airlines offre voli senza obbligo di quarantena da New York a Roma

ROMA, Italia — Con la stagione estiva American Airlines rafforza il network transatlanticomettendo al primo posto la sicurezza dei passeggeri. Dall’8 Maggio, i passeggeri che viaggiano su voli operati da American Airlines da New York (JFK) a Roma (FCO) potranno evitare il periodo di quarantena.
Prima della partenza, i passeggeri dovranno dimostrare di avere un test COVID-19 negativo. Sulla base delle attuali normative italiane, i passeggeri in arrivo a Roma effettueranno un ulteriore test rapido in aeroporto e, a fronte di un esito negativo, eviteranno l’obbligo di quarantena ottimizzando così il proprio tempo in Italia.
American opererà un volo tre volte alla settimana da Roma Fiumicino (FCO) a New York John F. Kennedy (JFK), dopo un anno di sospensione, con aeromobili Boeing 777-200 che offrono ai passeggeri tre esperienze di viaggio: Flagship Business, Premium Economy e Main Cabin.

“Non vediamo l’ora di dare il benvenuto a bordo ai nostri passeggeri da Roma, non appena saranno pronti per ricominciare a volare”, ha detto Tom Lattig, Vice President EMEA Sales di American Airlines.
“American è impegnata a riaprire i voli transatlantici in sicurezza e lavora a stretto contatto con le autorità locali e internazionali per stabilire protocolli di viaggio adeguati. Siamo inoltre molto grati per il supporto ricevuto da Aeroporti di Roma per le incredibili misure di sicurezza messe in atto a terra, ad integrazione e completamento dei nostri sforzi in volo”, ha proseguito Tom Lattig.
“Salutiamo con soddisfazione la prossima partenza dei voli Covid Tested di American Airlines tra New York e Roma Fiumicino”, ha dichiarato Ivan Bassato, Direttore Operations di Aeroporti di Roma. “La nuova procedura di viaggio, proposta da Aeroporti di Roma, rappresenta un valido strumento in grado di sostenere la ripresa del traffico aereo in sicurezza e ci auguriamo che presto possa essere adottata da altri scali e compagnie aeree”.

Da Roma Fiumicino (FCO) American opera anche il volo verso Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW)
con aeromobili Boeing 787-800 che offrono ai passeggeri tre esperienze di viaggio:
Flagship Business, Premium Economy e Main Cabin. Per questa rotta sono ancora in vigore le misure di quarantena previste.
